Oslo and its innovative architecture
In recent years, the Municipality of Oslo has relied on innovative and sustainable urban architecture to transform certain areas of Oslo.
Our young budding architects will wander in the new district of Bjørvika. With the help of a quiz and a map, they will meander through this neighbourhood to discover its shapes, the materials used and its colours.
Can they tell us why part of this neighbourhood is called the barcode? Or why is this bridge called the acrobat bridge? Why does the Opera have this shape? Why were the opera house, the Munch museum, and the library placed in the same neighbourhood and next to the central station?
Armed with LEGO bricks and their sense of observation, they will be able to recreate certain forms and answer all these questions. A real architect’s job!
