ABOUT SCANDIKIDSTOURS

A team of enthusiasts

An initiative specially designed for children

Scandikidstours is the brainchild of two agencies that have been operating in Scandinavia for almost 10 years: NORDIC INSITE and Stockholm à la carte.

Drawing on their proven expertise as guides, and realising that there was a real shortage of tours adapted to young travellers, Christine and Isabelle have combined their know-how as guides, tour organisers and professionals to create tours designed and adapted to the specific needs of children.

All our tours are the result of our respective cultural experiences and our teams’ multi-disciplinary knowledge. With us, your children (and parents) can explore and learn without ever getting bored!

A team of experienced guides

Our team is made up of guides and activity leaders who pay particular attention to interaction with children. They use a teaching method based on exchange and dialogue with the little travellers, inviting them to take an active part in discovering the city, its history or the theme targeted in the walk.

An initiative specially designed for children

Our team is keen to get the message across to children by using objects and props that allow them to immerse themselves symbolically in the period or theme covered by the walk.

Trained in guiding techniques, our guides call on the sense of detail and the acuity of young travellers to bring out the elements that strike a chord in children’s memories and thirst for discovery.

Passionate, smiling and good communicators, they know how to establish a climate of trust and good humour that is conducive to the smooth running of the tour.

Flexible and capable of adapting to unforeseen circumstances (weather, annoyance, fatigue, etc.), and of reacting to even the craziest questions, they ensure a calm and relaxed visit (in the Scandinavian spirit).

A unique range of tours

A varied range of tours that explore Scandinavia from different angles: from the Vikings to Scandinavian design and the great historical or imaginary figures. A range of tours backed up by a skilled, multi-disciplinary team.

An active
pedagogy

A teaching method that places discovery and action at the heart of the relationship. Children are encouraged by the guide to take an active part in the adventure. Accessorised stagings allow participants to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the period being recounted.

Attentive
guides

Our guides listen carefully to children's specific needs and adapt to their questions. They create a fun, interactive relationship that involves both older and younger children in the walk.
